Are your rates competitive?
After comparing prices with local daycares, we are competitive. Qualified teachers in a Christian environment will care for your child. We offer foreign language, sign language and computer basics. |
What are the teacher qualifications?
Our teachers have demonstrated prior experience working with young children. In addition, we will provide workshop training throughout the year. These training opportunities include First Aid/CPR and Health Screening classes. We believe our teachers are the best at what they do with Christian hearts and minds. Our teachers possess a unique and genuine LOVE for children. |
Do you offer any kind of daycare assistance such as grants or scholarship?
No, we are unable to offer daycare assistance. We are looking into providing this service in the near future. |
Do you accept Social Services Daycare assisted families?
Yes, we will accept Social Services Daycare assisted families. |
Will your facility offer a PTA?
Yes, we will offer something similar to a PTA. We know that parent involvement is an important part of your child's success. There will be a committee that will address parent concerns and ideas about your child's experience here at Destiny Child Development Center. We also encourage parents to visit their child's class and volunteer some of their time to reading stories, playing outside etc. |
Do you offer transportation?
No, we are unable to offer transportation at this time. |
Will the children go on field trips?
Yes, Destiny Child Development Center will go on field trips. Parents will be notified in advance and will be asked to sign a permission slip. The cost, date and time will be posted for parents to sign their child up. We will also have on-site visits to provide the children with other fun learning experiences. |
Is your staff able to work with special needs children?
Yes, we will work with any child as long as we can meet that child’s need. If we feel that we are unable to give your child the care that he/she deserves we will inform you of that immediately. |
Will Saint Paul’s Baptist Church members receive a discount?
No, we are not currently offering Saint Paul’s Baptist Church members a discount. This is, however, a discount that we may provide in the future. |
What curriculum do you use?
Funshine is the curriculum we use. We believe as Funshine does that children learn by doing. This curriculum provides hands on interactive materials for children ages 2 years-5 years. Infants through 2-years-old children will follow the same theme as Funshine; however, it will be modified to ensure that it is age appropriate and geared for your child’s success. We are teaching our children foreign languages and beginning computer skills.
We are also using the Cook Ministries Curriculum to focus on Christian principles and values. This curriculum will teach our children Bible stories and scriptures PLUS Praise and Worship.

What does the tuition include?
The tuition includes: Breakfast (hot/cold), Lunch (hot/cold) and Afternoon Snack; it includes the Funshine Curriculum, Cooks Ministries Curriculum and its materials; Qualified teachers with previous experience and periodic on-site visits for fun and educational entertainment.

Do you provide food for ALL of the children?
No, we provide food for children ages 12 months and older. Parents must provide food/formula (breast milk) for children ages 6 weeks-11 months. |
Do you supply diapers, wipes and/or formula?
No, we do not supply diapers, wipes and/or formula. |
What is the philosophy of the Center?
Our philosophy is to minister to the WHOLE child by focusing on every aspect of the child. We will meet the spiritual, cognitive, social and emotional needs of the children and their families. We will encourage children to reach their highest individual potential. The curriculum will allow the children to learn through play while focusing on Christian values and principles. We will operate our facility based on the principle of the Bible focusing on Christ, Children, Character and Commitment. |
Are therapists allowed to work with the child on-site if needed?
Yes, therapists are allowed on site to work with your child. We will require that they provide identification and you provide us with a schedule of when the therapist is to visit with your child. Otherwise we will not allow impromptu meetings without your written consent. |
If I pay the registration fee now, can I wait to enroll my child later ?
No, if you pay the registration fee it is expected that your child will start within two weeks. |
